Privacy notice

1. Who we are

This notice explains how Estates Compliance Online Limited ("ECO", "we", "us") uses personal data collected through this website, including when you send us an enquiry. We are the controller of that data.

Estates Compliance Online Limited is registered in England and Wales, company number 16789576. Our registered office is 55 Rectory Grove, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex SS9 2HA.

If you have an account on the ECO platform, the platform's own privacy policy covers how your data is handled there.

2. What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our contact form or our Book a Demo form, we collect:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your organisation
• Your role, if you give it
• The reason for your enquiry and your message

When you visit the website, Cloudflare, which hosts it, processes your IP address and basic details of your browser to deliver pages and protect the site from attack. We do not use these to identify you.

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or identify you. Our cookies notice explains more.

3. How we use your data, and why

We use your enquiry only to reply to you and, if you ask, to arrange a demonstration of the platform. We do not add you to a mailing list or use your details for marketing.

To stop automated spam, our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a person, not a bot, is sending the form.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: replying to people who contact us about our services, and keeping this website secure. You do not have to give us your details, but we cannot reply to an enquiry without them.

4. Who receives your data

Your enquiry is emailed to the team that can answer it. These service providers handle your data for us, acting only on our instructions:

• Mandrill (Intuit Mailchimp), our email delivery provider, which sends your enquiry to our inboxes
• Help Scout, our support platform, which receives support enquiries
• CE Consultants Europe Ltd, which handles sales enquiries on our behalf using Microsoft 365
• Cloudflare, which hosts this website and provides Turnstile and our analytics

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

5. Transfers outside the UK

Mandrill, Help Scout and Cloudflare are based in the United States. Each is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the UK recognises as protecting personal data sent to them.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it
• Ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete
• Ask us to erase your data
• Ask us to restrict how we use your data
• Object to our using your data on the basis of legitimate interests

To use any of these rights, email help@estatescompliance.com. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would be grateful for the chance to put things right first.

8. Changes to this notice

We will update this notice whenever the way we use personal data changes, and show the date of the latest update at the top.
